The Gaggle
in Media
Senator Harrison Wright:
"Well I haven't heard much of him in the news lately other than the inauguration. I'm ready to work with President Grayson and get stuff done in this Congress, but with him being so "closed doors" about everything, it's kinda hard to work with him. Hopefully he is ready to create jobs in this nation and defend our 2nd amendment. I doubt he will since he is a liberal, but I have been surprised before and he can very well do that."

Wright Introduces Trade Bill to Start New Session.
Washington D.C- Senator Wright (R-FL) introduced a bill in the U.S Senate earlier today. The bill is called the Trade Act of 2001 and it's purpose is to amend the Caribbean Basin Economic Recovery Act and the African Growth and Opportunity Act to provide duty-free and quota free treatment to imported apparel articles that are sewn or otherwise assembled, or cut in a U.S.-Caribbean Basin Trade Partnership Act (CBTPA) or sub-Saharan African beneficiary country from components knit-to-shape in the United States. Senator Wright released a statement on the bill introduction:
QuoteI believe this will help our relations with nations in the Caribbean, as well as create jobs in Florida, my home state. Trade is key to the creation of jobs and this bill is a good first step to helping our economy. I hope for passage of this bill and bi-partisanship support of this bill.

Wright on the Recent Election Results.
Key West, Florida- Senator Wright is spending his election break in Key West this week to work in his state office. He also spent the election night at his home in Key West to watch the results. The Republicans kept control of the Senate, but lost control of the house, and failed to claim the White House. Senator Wright released a statement on the election below:
Quote"I'm excited to start this new session and have bills that I plan on introducing once the new session starts. I'm a little disappointed in the outcome in the election, but I do accept the results and willing to work with the current president-elect to get much needed legislation passed through the Senate and get into law. I'm also glad there was no major compromises to the election process and I would like to thank everyone who went out to vote and my your voices heard. I would also like to congratulate President-elect Grayson and Congressman Fong on running two great campaigns. I'm ready to get back to work for the great state of Florida and have this session start."
