    Detailed Biography:

John DiCaprio was born in Brooklyn, New York, New York on July 10th, 1971 to Pasquale and Sarah DiCaprio. Pasquale was a mechanic at a local shop in Brooklyn, while his mother, Sarah, was a teacher at an elementary school in Queens. John is the oldest sibling of 7. He attended school in New York City, and excelled at sports, mainly football.  He got a scholarship to play college football at the University of Alabama as a quarterback. He attended there from 1989-1993. Realizing he wasn't going to make it in the pros, he decided to leave the team and join the Army ROTC program at the University of Alabama, thus getting a scholarship through them while losing his football scholarship. He graduated from the University of Alabama with a political science degree.

After graduation, he was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S Army and started flight school at Fort Rucker, Alabama. He was top of his class and got placed in the UH-60 Blackhawk program. He graduated top of his class at Ft. Rucker and got assigned to the 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. He was with the unit through his Army career, getting deployed to Iraqi twice throughout his career. He met Amanda (nee Parker), who was a 1LT when he was a CPT, there at Ft Campbell. They got married in 1999. His second deployment happened when his wife got out after her contract, and he signed his contract and swore in another 6 years on the flight to Iraqi. During that deployment, he got shot down by an enemy anti- aircraft gun while returning from a mission. He managed to save everyone's life on board, however he injured his left leg, causing him to return home and eventually medically discharged from the U.S Army.

After his career was over, he decided to use his savings, and get a bunch of investors (friends from the Army), to start up a car dealership in Clarksville, Tennessee. He started DiCaprio Chevrolet 5 months after he got discharged. It became a top seller of chevy's in the area, and expanded to the Nashville area. With the rising name recognition, and a likable backstory, the Tennessee GOP contacted John to run for Tennessee Class 2 seat that was being vacated by Lamar Alexander, who was suddenly retiring after one term. He accepted the challenge and started his campaign. He won the crowded GOP field with 28% of the vote. He then faced Bob Duke in the general and cruised to victory, 67.3%-32.6%.

He continues to live in Clarksville, Tennessee with his wife and two kids. His wife, Amanda, has taken over the ownership of the dealerships and has political aspirations for herself as well. He has 5 brothers and one sister, most notably his brother, Jared, is a New York City council member from Staten Island, and his lone sister, Susan, is a state representative in Connecticut.

  3. Wright’s Military Bill Passes The Senate, Moves on to the House

Washington- Earlier today, S.B 15, Military Readiness Investigation Board Act of 2001, passes the Senate with 98 Senators in favor of it, 2 abstaining from the vote, and 0 senators against it. Senator Wright released a statement in the bill’s passage:

“This is an amazing first step for the bill. I’m glad that Republicans and Democrats put their differences aside for this one bill and decided to vote in favor of it. I hope the House can do the same. This bill will give Congress and the US Government a great tool to see where we need to improve on in our military and to see if more or less spending is required. I’m ready to see this bill get signed into law and get our military stronger than ever.”

The bill is expected to hit the house floor for debate in the near future. It should reach the President’s desk, barring any amendments or the failure of passage, directly after the house votes on it.

  4. Senator Wright looks at him funny, then sips his beer

" You are right, I've been working non-stop, and the senate will definitely kick the house's butt in paintball"

He laughs and eats his prime rib

It's been wonderfully unanimous and quiet, what is your bill? I haven't heard anything about it yet.

It's a bill that creates a board to asses our military's readiness. It's quiet because it's not controversial and very bipartisan. I can send you a copy through fax and you can take a look at it.

Bartender hands Wright his alcohol and prime rib.

    Thank you good sir

  6. Senator Wright gets up and sits with the two Congressman

"What's up y'all, how is the House doing? I hope y'all plan on supporting my bill that should be going over there after this vote."

  7. Senator Wright walks in after being on the Senate floor, he is talking on the phone with his CoS

"Yeah I know, the bill is going to go through the senate and make it to the House, I want you to start calling up House offices and getting numbers of Congressman that are on the fence about it so I can whip up the votes. Ok, thank you. Bye."

He hangs up the phone, goes to the bar, and sits down

" Can I get a Budweiser, and put in an order for a prime rib please"

Gotta say, this is pretty inaccurate, the most notable people who are most known to go inactive at bad times tend to be the people who basically get handed leadership spots right away. It isn't that they have no incentive, is that they come knowing they will get such positions, play it until they bored and find an excuse to disappear.

Anyway, when I was setting up our Elections System, we considered direct-House Elections, and decided against it for the same reason that every game

Fair enough, but this isn't direct house elections exactly, it's more of simulated house elections with consequences I guess.

Now, I can say that players with lower ARs get less money in fundraising, and have less influence in their respective Congressional Houses, while players with higher ARs get more money and have more influence. We also have a modifier giving more influence for characters that manage to stay around a while.

Yeah I guess, but I feel like the reason people go inactive or leave is because they don't have incentive to stay, or there is no challenge for them and get bored. I feel like this idea can be improved, maybe add like a election win bonus or something, but I feel like playing the House is kinda boring without true incentive to actually try.

  10. I thought about it earlier today, House players don't really get consequences for their actions if they have low approval ratings unlike senate players, or at least from what I've seen. So I came up with an idea that will require House players to play with some sense of realism. For the record, I don't really see it happening in the House, but I would like to see this idea happen so it gives incentive for them to do good.

    Quote

Players in the House will be re-elected if certain requirements are met. Although they don't run their own elections, their approval rating and district leaning will play huge factors if they want to retain their seat. If a Republican in a moderate seat has an approval rating lower than their disapproval rating, then they will have a tougher time retaining their set than someone who has the same approval rating in a "safe seat". However, if the incumbent of the safe seat is too liberal or vice versa, they could face "primary challengers" and possibly lose their seat that way. If the approval ratings are close with the disapproval, or their is a high number of undecideds, the AB will decide on how that election goes. This proposition makes it more interesting to be in the House and gives average players a motive to continue playing, without having the stress of running an actual campaign, and the AB doesn't have the stress of grading every single campaign. If the incumbent loses their seat, they can sign in another character and have another opportunity to do better.

it's only an idea and feedback is highly recommend. I feel like it's a good idea and doesn't require too much stress on the under-staffed AB.

  11. Senator Wright:

" I've been fighting for our second amendment rights ever since I got to Washington and the job isn't over yet. However, it's a huge victory and I'm glad that it passed the Senate. I'm hoping the House will come together and pass it and eventually be signed by President Grayson. Today we celebrate, but we have to continue to fight to protect our second amendment rights, it simply cannot end here."
