    U.S Senator, Minnesota Class 1 (2025-present)

    Bio:

Matthew Wood was born in Detroit as the youngest of three children to Richard Wood, an auto factory worker, and Diane Wood, a school teacher. Growing up with siblings Bart Wood and Susan Wood, Matthew's upbringing was rooted in a blue-collar family environment.

His educational journey led him to the University of Michigan, where he pursued his academic goals and laid the foundation for his future endeavors. After completing his college education, Matthew ventured into his dream job as a Radio DJ. Starting off as a late-night DJ at 97.9 WGRD in Grand Rapids, he quickly made a mark and was soon promoted to a drive time DJ slot. His charisma and talent behind the mic eventually earned him his own morning show at 93X in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where he became a household name as a shock jock.

As his radio career flourished, being syndicated across the U.S as his career progressed, Matthew wasn't a stranger to the FCC. After numerous FCC fines to the main station and pressure from upper management to change his content to limit the fines, Matthew transitioned to Sirius XM, a move that further solidified his presence in the broadcasting industry, and let him have more creative freedom for his show . His engaging personality and distinct voice resonated with listeners across the nation.

However, destiny had more in store for Matthew as he was recruited into politics by the DFL in Minnesota. Recognizing his potential to make a positive impact, they urged him to run for the U.S Senate, after incumbent Amy Klobuchar announced her retirement. Matthew embraced the challenge, drawing on his diverse experiences and connecting with people from all walks of life. He won a tight primary against a field of 6 other Democrats. He won the general election against former NBA player Royce White by a sizable margin, due to Royce White mainly running on a conspiracy theory.

Currently serving as the U.S Senator from Minnesota, Matthew Wood splits his time between Brooklyn Park and Washington D.C. He shares his life with his wife Alexandra and their two children, Jackson and Kirsten. Beyond his political responsibilities, Matthew spends his free time with his family, hunting, fishing, and watching sports.

    Bio:

Salvatore "Sal" Rizzo, an esteemed U.S. Senator, was born on May 3, 1971, in the vibrant city of New York. However, he was raised in the serene town of Hackensack, New Jersey, where he learned the values of hard work, community, and perseverance. Sal's parents, Maria and Tony Rizzo, instilled in him a strong work ethic and the importance of education.

Maria Rizzo, his mother, is a dedicated elementary school teacher who has spent her career inspiring young minds. Tony Rizzo, Sal's father, is a small business owner, running a successful local bakery that has been a staple in their community for decades. Growing up, Sal witnessed firsthand the challenges and triumphs of running a small business, which shaped his understanding of the needs and aspirations of hardworking Americans.

Sal's high school years were marked by his exceptional talent as a baseball player. He attended Hackensack High School, where he excelled both academically and athletically. As a star baseball pitcher, Sal led his team to numerous victories, earning a reputation as a skilled and determined athlete. His dedication and natural talent caught the attention of college recruiters.

Sal's outstanding performance on the baseball field earned him a scholarship to Georgetown University, where he continued to excel both academically and athletically. As a Georgetown Hoya, Sal showcased his skills as a pitcher and helped lead his team to several conference championships. His time at Georgetown provided him with a well-rounded education and honed his leadership abilities.

In 1996, Sal's dreams became a reality when he was drafted in the 5th round by the Oakland Athletics. He began his professional baseball career in the Athletics' farm system, working his way up through the ranks and showcasing his remarkable talent. In 1999, he received the news of a trade that would forever change his career trajectory - he was being traded to the New York Mets.

As a relief pitcher for the Mets, Sal made an immediate impact. Known for his precision and ability to perform under pressure, he became a vital asset to the team. From 1999 to 2005, Sal played a key role in the Mets' success, helping them reach the playoffs and making notable contributions to their victories.

In 2005, Sal signed with the newly established Washington Nationals, embarking on a new chapter in his baseball career. As a member of the Nationals, he continued to showcase his skill and leadership, becoming a respected figure within the team. Sal's time with the Nationals solidified his status as a reliable and talented relief pitcher.

In 2008, Sal made the decision to return to his beloved New York Mets. The move was met with excitement from fans and teammates alike, as Sal's experience and expertise brought a new level of confidence to the team. However, as injuries started to take a toll on his performance, Sal realized that his time as a player was coming to an end.

In 2010, Sal gracefully transitioned from being a player to becoming a pitching coach, sharing his knowledge and experience with aspiring athletes. His innate ability to connect with individuals and bring out the best in them made him a respected figure within the coaching staff.

A year later, in 2011, Sal decided to pursue a new avenue within the world of baseball and became a scout. As a scout, he traveled extensively, seeking out hidden talent and identifying promising players. Sal's keen eye for talent and his ability to assess individuals' potential made him a valued member of the scouting community.

However, in 2017, Sal's life took an unexpected turn when he was approached by local politicians who recognized his leadership qualities and encouraged him to run for political office. Inspired by the desire to make a positive impact and fueled by a passion for public service, Sal accepted the challenge.

During his campaign for the U.S. Senate, Sal faced off against the incumbent Senator Bob Menendez, who was mired in controversy after being indicted on corruption charges. Sal's message of integrity, transparency, and a commitment to representing the best interests of the people resonated with voters. In a closely contested primary, he emerged victorious, winning by a margin of 4 percentage points. In the general election, Sal's platform of accountability and reform secured him a decisive victory, winning by over 10 percentage points.

In his personal life, Sal is a devoted family man. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Christina, and they have three children together. Sal and his family reside in the picturesque town of Englewood, New Jersey, where they enjoy an active and engaged community life.

When Congress is in session, Sal divides his time between Englewood and the bustling Capitol Hill neighborhood in Washington, D.C. As a senator, he tirelessly advocates for his constituents, working diligently to address their concerns and push for meaningful change. Sal's commitment to public service and his ability to bridge gaps between diverse perspectives make him a trusted and respected figure within the political landscape.

Beyond his professional and political endeavors, Sal enjoys a range of hobbies and interests. He has a passion for cooking and often finds solace in preparing meals for his loved ones. Sal is also an avid reader, finding inspiration and knowledge through books. In his spare time, he enjoys exploring the outdoors, particularly hiking and fishing, which allow him to reconnect with nature and recharge his spirit.

Senator Salvatore "Sal" Rizzo's remarkable journey from a star baseball pitcher to a dedicated public servant showcases his determination, integrity, and unwavering commitment to making a difference. With his genuine concern for the well-being of others and his ability to connect with people from all walks of life, he continues to shape the future of his constituents and the nation as a whole.

  6. I motion to hold a VONC and a party ban for the rest of the round on our current chair, @Surratt for the following:

    1. Making up rules while running party elections

    2. Allowing non-GOP members to second and vote in party elections.

    3. Ignoring motions made by members of the party during these elections

There are many more but I think these 3 items are a good start. I'm hoping for 2 more seconds to get this ball moving.

    I yield

We're not rehashing this. I understand a handful of you have a personal vendetta against Josh and have forced his temporary removal from the War Room. He is still a Republican until you remove him via vote 48 hours from now. His new character was and has been known that he will be a Republican. He will be voting by proxy. He can second and make nominations by proxy.

This literally makes no sense, He actually signed out and his new character hasn't been approved yet. Nothing to do with a vendetta against him, it's just the rules. By your logic, I can go grab anyone and say they voted for someone by proxy.
