  1. First, I want to thank you all for having had the privilege to serve as Senate Republican Leader for roughly the last year in-game. There have been ups, and there have been downs. Throughout it, I have been consistently active. I have hardly missed any votes, been a thorn in the side of the Democratic Leadership, for instance by making them pull their reconciliation bill and re-do it. Also see my persistence on the parliamentarian issue. Contrast this with efforts to be buddy-buddy with leading Democrats, for instance by expanding the Affordable Care Act as some have attempted.

Second, I want to dispel some possible concerns. I told many of you this when I was first elected Leader - but I will not be running for President. This is not a stepping stone position for me, unless you count Minority Leader as a stepping stone to eventually becoming Majority Leader. In which case, yes, it is a stepping stone - for all of us. This will allow me to focus fully and wholly on the good of our caucus.

Those of you who've played with me over the years could probably think of times where I have been an ardent defender of my caucus' interests - even when we hold the White House. Now, this is a different situation. We hold the House, and we had better use that to our advantage. But the two major player-controlled levers of government (WH and Senate) are in Democratic hands. That means we have to engage conservatively while positioning ourselves for a majority in two years.

Third, I'll address unity. I would have taken the 11th Commandment - to not publicly character assassinate a fellow Republican - as a given when I signed in. But that is clearly no longer the case. I have laid out my reasoning for reset-banning JoEddie from the GOP. I do not believe any GOP Senator (note that JoEddie is not a GOP Senator) should be expelled for their IC actions. And I think that its ironic some members claimed "personal vendettas" before launching expulsion motions against two of our colleagues for exactly those same personal reasons. This type of toxicity needs to stop, and I will work with whoever is elected leadership to help put an end to it. But that will take us all working together, frankly, to accomplish. Unity is a two-way street - but being censured by your state party for disunity should be a clear red-flag for any possible GOP Senate Leader.

Finally, I want to make myself available for any questions. Whether you want to do it here or on the Discord, via PMs or DMs, I'm available.

  2. As the shot-clock is ticking, I would encourage @Surratt to post some sort of defense.

I will personally state, during this debate and discussion 72 hours, that working with Surratt has had its ups and downs. I don't intend to imply that I've been perfect in my time, but for the RNC Chair to go out and publicly denigrate me and our former Vice Presidential candidate clearly violates the 11th Commandment. And for that to come after he asked me to basically run the last election round is a bit disheartening.

I am also going to point out that Surratt violated the terms of the primary agreement that was reached between MAGA (led by Durant, of all people) and Leadership on behalf of the other two caucuses. Surratt campaigned in South Dakota, which led to Kristi Noem unseating a safe incumbent. As a result of the ensuing MAGA antics, we had to spend money to keep SD in our hands; that money could have been spent better elsewhere had Surratt not broken the deal. Tuna upheld his part of the agreement as POTUS, but Surratt did not as RNC Chairman.

Finally, the charges presented at the start of this VONC - breaking our party's rules to allow non-members to vote, nominate, second via proxy - are really serious. It undermines the game as a whole when non-players can vote. And his ignoring basic parliamentary processes, his regular threats to cancel elections, etc. are also bad form. The stubbornness and general hostility with which Surratt has acted the past 24 hours or so have merited this conversation.

  3. Seeing as JoEddie has signed out Wendy Durant, I want to be clear that my comments are not about expelling Senator Durant. They are, rather, directed at the OOC reset ban against JoEddie.

My main point I want to raise is that the user JoEddie had the opportunity to weigh in via proxy for the past 48 hours. Instead of doing so, we are told that he attempted to second silly and frivolous motions to expel other members of the Party in good standing. Nobody has posted on JoEddie's behalf, which leads me to the conclusion that he didn't write up a defense of his behavior.

To me, this signals a lack of contrition and an arrogance that have marked his tenure in the GOP. With one hour for debate remaining, this is of grave concern for me. By attacking the President for seemingly no reason, by publicly tweeting that his character would vote against the GOP President, by bringing dishonor and discredit to the party that he ostensibly signed in to support, by being twice banned by the AB from Twitter and being censured by his state party by the AB, I cannot in good faith vote for anything other than his reset-long expulsion.

To those who are new to the GOP this reset - feel free to talk to people you know and trust on this matter. Whether it's Tuna, Mac, Church, or myself - longtime, consistent players - we will probably all tell you that JoEddie fostered a toxic environment to be around in the GOP. Frankly, the dismissive attitude towards most attempts at rapprochement make this effort all the more necessary. How many times will we allow ourselves to be mocked with rude GIFs or curt responses? The fact JoEddie hasn't even dignified this grave process with a response via proxy seals the deal.

I will be voting for his expulsion in an hour.

I motion to appeal the ruling of the Chair under Section 7 of the Republican Charter

The Chairman should have recused himself from this entire thread. After all, he's a candidate for re-election, and in such case he must recuse himself.

The fact he hasn't done so speaks volume.

I second the motion to appeal the ruling of the Chair - which must apply to all other leadership races, as well.

  5. Josh does not have a signed-in character, and his nomination came after he had signed out - the AB simply had yet to remove his masking.

This isn't about some kind of personal vendetta. It's about following the rules as handed down by the AB.

Senate Minority Leader Daniel Fisk of Nebraska

    12 Total CPs

    Locations:

    • Sioux Falls, South Dakota
    • Nashville, Tennessee
    • Charleston, West Virginia

    Targets: Conservative independents, Republican voters

Well, hello [city]! I am Senate Republican Leader Daniel Fisk, and like you, I stand firmly with the values enshrined in our Founding documents. Yes, I'm proud of my support for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness - the pursuit of the American Dream. And, you know who else is dedicated to these same values? [Republican candidate's name]! Now, as I've been travelling from my home state of Nebraska, right in middle of America, far away from the coastal Democratic strongholds, I've met hundreds of great American patriots. And one question that I've heard right here in [state] is why you should vote for a Republican Senate candidate, like [Republican candidate's name].

Now, as a Republican politician and the leader of our party in the Senate, I could point to dozens of reasons why. But I want to focus on the importance of the Senate Majority. You see, many people think that the party with the most Senators gets to control the agenda for debate - what we call the docket. And that isn't entirely wrong. But the one person who decides what bills get debated is the Leader of the Senate Majority Party. And that's currently the far-left, New England Democrat Lance Reed. Lance Reed has promoted a liberal, ideological agenda since his first day in office. And he's not shy about using his control over the Senate's agenda to infringe on those basic rights I outlined earlier: life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

On the issue of life, Democrats - led by Lance Reed - brought forward a proposal that would use your tax dollars to pay for abortion-on-demand. Gone are the days where Democrats advocated for abortion only in "rare" circumstances. While a number of my Republican colleagues and I have pushed for humane alternatives, such as banning dismemberment abortions, Democrats are currently blocking a highly-qualified jurist, Barbara Lagoa, from even being considered. I can tell you that if [Republican candidate's name] joins our caucus after November, we'll work to give Judge Lagoa a fair hearing.

Friends, today's Democratic Party has abandoned the right to keep and bear arms enshrined in our Second Amendment. From Robert Mulroney to Daniel Bu, from Lance Reed to Mark Tennington, the liberal elites have a disdain for the right to own a gun that is enjoyed by many here in [state]. I can tell you that my party and [Republican candidate's name] will work to keep families safe from violent crime - and we recognize that the only thing that can stop a bad guy with a gun, is a good guy with a gun! We'll back our men and women in law enforcement and we'll stop the spread of deadly fentanyl that is coming in from China - all while supporting treatment for opioid abuse and addiction.

The pursuit of happiness is also at stake in this year's Senate election. The American dream has seen an unparalleled boom under President Roscoe Bailey, not only in manufacturing but also in American energy independence. These are important to all communities, including right here in [state]. Senate Democrats also unanimously passed a $1.7 trillion tax hike, without a single Republican vote. Thankfully President Bailey was there to stop that assault on the American dream dead in its tracks!

This election is so important because, given the 60-vote requirement in the United States Senate, it will only take one more Democrat to completely erode the voice of millions of Republicans and independents, including those of you here in [state]. If [state] votes for [Democratic candidate's name], you'll be handing complete control of the Senate over to left-wing politicians like Lance Reed and the indicted national security risk, Sofia Morales.

But you have a better alternative: [Republican candidate's name]! Together, we will build a stronger future rooted in our great American founding. Together, we will protect our cherished rights. And together, we will vote this November! Thank you! And may God bless America!

Senate Minority Leader Daniel Fisk of Nebraska

    12 Total CPs

    Locations:

    • Fairbanks, Alaska
    • Billings, Montana
    • Grand Junction, Colorado

Targets: Energy voters; Rural voters; Conservatives

Hello there, [city]! I am Senate Republican Leader Daniel Fisk, and it's my honor to be here in [state] on behalf of your great Senate candidate, [Republican candidate's name]. You know, for many Democratic elites, this is flyover country - but not for those of us here today, and certainly not for me. Being from Nebraska, I am really enjoying the rolling hills and dramatic mountainsides here in [state]. As I was coming here, I couldn't help but think of that old-time song about our country, "America the Beautiful." From the amber waves of grain to these purple mountain majesties, our natural environment and our rich natural resources are something to be proud of.

Under Republican leadership, thanks to free-market tax incentives and the rolling back of red tape, people like you have been able to unlock greater potential in our mines and in our oil rigs. We are no longer at the mercy of hostile foreign powers, like the Chinese Communist Party or the Russian Federation, for our energy or rare earth mineral needs. This is a major reversal from just four years ago, when Democrats had tied our hands behind our backs, with onerous regulations that stifled innovation. Under President Bailey's leadership, and with the urging and support of our Senate Republican Caucus, we have authorized pipelines that are responsible for thousands of jobs. But we also recognize the importance of an all-of-the-above energy strategy, and through serious infrastructure and energy investments led by Republicans, we are starting to see the dividends coming to bear fruit.

While [Democratic candidate's name] will be just another vote for the likes of Lance Reed and Daniela Morales, with their anti-energy dogma, [Republican candidate's name] will work to empower all the good people of [state] - because when [state] prospers, so do the United States!

You know, coming from rural America myself, I can attest to the important balance between natural resources and conservation. But the fact of the matter is the businesses that work the land, the employers who create tens of thousands of jobs here, they know how to strike that balance far better than bureaucrats thousands of miles away in Washington, DC. After all, if a business doesn't conserve its resources, it won't be in business for much longer! That is why our Republican Party agrees to give more power to the state, local and private sectors, and less for the professional political class in Washington, DC. [Democratic candidate's name] can't say the same thing, since [he/she] is part of the professional political class!

Another area that is of great importance to our Republican Party is protecting, preserving and expanding the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms. When you live in rural America, you know just how important firearm ownership can be. While Democrats want to impose their unconstitutional gun control policies nationwide, you know that you can count on me, you can count on [Republican candidate's name], and you can count on the Republican Party to stand up and say "enough is enough!"

Friends, this Senate election is vital to the future of our country. One more Democratic Senator could mean that the thousands of Republican and independent voices in [state] and across the nation are drowned out by the likes of Lance Reed, Mark Tennington, and Daniel Bu. As coastal elitists, they couldn't care less about the values and ideals that inspire those of you in Rocky Mountain America. Thankfully, you have a real alternative in [Republican candidate's name]. Now, it's time to get out and vote!

Thank you, God bless you, and may God bless America!

Obamacare was supposed to do two things: create universal health insurance coverage and drive down the cost of healthcare and health insurance. It has failed to do both of those things. There are still tens of millions of Americans without health insurance, and healthcare costs and premiums are going up, not down. In fact, medical bills are now the #1 reason for personal bankruptcy in the United States. And Obamacare has caused premiums to increase for most Americans. There's no debate about whether Obamacare failed or not, the real debate is about what to replace it with.

If Republicans take control of Congress this year, we will pass President Bailey's Good Sam plan. Under the plan, all working and middle class Americans will receive catastrophic health insurance. Here's how that would work. In my hometown of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, the average woman makes $38,000 per year. Under the Good Sam plan, the most that a typical Fond du Lac woman would ever pay for healthcare in a single year would be $3,800. That means even if she was diagnosed with breast cancer which costs $142,000 to treat and even if she did not have any health insurance, under the Good Sam plan she would never pay over $3,800 for treatment. The Good Sam plan means an end to medical bankruptcy in the United States.

But it gets better. Under the Good Sam plan, private health insurance would still exist. But because of the Good Sam plan, the most that a private health insurance company would ever have to pay out to our Fond du Lac woman in a single year is $3,800. Which means her health insurance premiums are going to go down, way down. It will be far cheaper for her to buy health insurance on the private market. It will be far cheaper for her employer to offer her health insurance, even if she is just part time. And the Good Sam plan will do more than that. It will also create a single national market for health insurance. Just like you can cross state lines to buy a cheaper car, you will be able to cross state lines to buy cheaper health insurance. That means there will be 50 states worth of insurance plans competing for your business, instead of just one. Further, we're going to fix the exchanges. Right now, most people can only find expensive, extremely high deductible insurance plans on the exchanges. That will change when we pass the Good Sam plan. First, it will change because the exchanges will go from mostly being expensive, catastrophic plans to being cheap plans to cover your Good Sam deductible. Second, it will change because states will be able to pool together to create interstate exchanges, using their greater leverage to negotiate lower premiums. Right now it's especially tough for people in small states to find insurance on the exchanges: when smaller states are able to combine into a single larger market, prices will go down and choices will go up.

Now, I know what some of you are thinking: doesn't this sound very expensive? Won't it require higher taxes or more deficit spending? Well, according to the designers of the plan (who were a financier and a medical school professor, covering both the money side and the healthcare side), it would actually cost half as much as we're already spending on Obamacare. Yes - that's how inefficient Obamacare is, we can literally replace it with a plan that covers much more and still save money. Under the Republican plan, health insurance will start treating your medical problems instead of causing your medical problems.

Senator Kyle Murdoch of South Carolina

    Locations:

    • Rock Hill, South Carolina

Targets: Conservative Republicans, Trump/Sutton supporters; Social conservatives

This election is one of the most important elections in the country. Since my days as a Congressman, fresh out of the military serving our country, I have been a reliable vote for the conservative agenda. What we've dealt with over the last few years is a Democratic legislature that has rammed extreme, left-wing legislation down our throats. If we do not win this race, we're vowing to give these extremists like Lance Reed, Daniela Morales, and Mark Tennington the keys to completely remake America, assault our free market principles and stomp on our religious freedom. If you'd like a testament to the kind of leadership you will see from me in the Senate, look no further than my leadership in ending forever wars as my bipartisan initiative to end what enables those wars makes its way through Congress.

Jaime Harrison will not uphold South Carolina's values and will repudiate everything we stand for. Jaime Harrison is nothing more than a national Democrat who will sign off on everything Robert Mulroney and Daniel Bu want. If you can fathom that and wish that to be the future of our state, be my guest. But I know that's not what South Carolinians cherish. What we cherish is an economy where people's taxes are low, where you get to invest and save your money and not have to spend it on the Left's latest pet-peeve spending project. We cherish a country not dependent on foreign creditors holding our nation's financial security at risk hostage as we spend like drunken sailors. We cherish a country where our manufacturing companies are booming, not packing up and leaving for China or Mexico. We cherish a country where we build America, not allow our country's infrastructure to crumble. We cherish a country that is safe and secure, not one where our open borders are exploited by terrorists and drug cartels. We cherish a country where the sanctity of our religious values are respected, not overruled by power hungry Washington bureaucrats. We cherish a country that respects our parents' parental rights, not have to be bullied by Washington bureaucrats and Hollywood culture-makers trying to circumvent parents and teach our children to hate our country or inject extremist gender-theory into their minds. We cherish a country that doesn't indoctrinate us but allows us to thrive. We cherish liberty and freedom. All that we cherish is on the ballot.

A vote for Kyle Murdoch is a vote for deficit reduction and balanced budgets. A vote for Kyle Murdoch is a vote for tax cuts and job creation. A vote for Kyle Murdoch is a vote to uphold our great state's commitment and contributions to our nation's security and safety with an ever-continuing strong and powerful defense manufacturing industry. A vote for Kyle Murdoch is a vote for our business to grow and not a stab in the back of small businesses with an irrational increase in the minimum wage. A vote for Kyle Murdoch is a vote for defending our parents and shielding our kids from the radical Left's social engineering agenda. A vote for Kyle Murdoch is a vote for the preservation of unborn life. A vote for Kyle Murdoch is a vote for a conservative Supreme Court justice. A vote for Kyle Murdoch is a vote for unity of our conservative movement. A vote for Kyle Murdoch is a vote for reestablishing America's dominance in the world and upholding our financial security.

All of these issues and more are on the ballot. Are you going to allow us to be taken advantage of or will you use your vote to send a message to the Elites and the Deep State of Washington Bureaucrats that their time of running things is over? That's the question you must ask yourselves as we cut through the noise and make a decision come election day.

Thank you all and God bless South Carolina!

  10. Fisk Urges Confirmation of Judge Barbara Lagoa

    PaulKrugman_1_business_desk.jpg

WASHINGTON, DC -- Following the death of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Senate Minority Leader Daniel Fisk (R-NE) worked with the White House to select an eminently-qualified nominee to the Supreme Court. When President Bailey announced 11th Circuit Judge Barbara Lagoa, Senator Fisk was quick to introduce a Senate resolution that would allow her to be confirmed to the nation's highest court. "Judge Lagoa has years of experience on the bench; she has the temperament and judgment that show signs of excellence. I am happy to support her nomination," Senator Fisk said upon introducing S.Res.12 to the Senate hopper. While many Democrats had come out in opposition to any Supreme Court candidate even before President Bailey named Judge Lagoa, Senator Fisk said "we have a duty, as Senators, to provide advice and consent to executive appointments and nominees. This is an important constitutional obligation, and ignoring it because some Senators don't like the President's party registration is nonsensical."

Soon after introducing the resolution, Minority Leader Fisk spoke on the Senate floor in an effort to suspend the Senate Rules and hold a hearing into Judge Lagoa's qualifications. In his speech, Fisk highlighted the connection between Ginsburg and Lagoa, saying in part, "You see, Judge Lagoa was born to a family of Cuban exiles who settled in America with a hope to make a future for themselves and their budding family - a similar story to Justice Ginsburg's father leaving anti-Semitic Europe for the promise of America. And America offered that hope to Judge Barbara Lagoa, who is a graduate of Columbia Law School - the very same school that propelled Ruth Bader Ginsburg's career forward." The motion was ultimately rejected; despite all Republicans voting in favor, not a single Democrat crossed the aisle to support the motion. "I am disappointed that partisanship has reached this solemn duty, to the point where Democrats like Lance Reed and Robert Mulroney won't even consider Judge Lagoa's nomination," Fisk told the press recently. He concluded by saying, "I hope that, after the election season is behind us, that we will be able to consider this nomination in a serious and nonpartisan fashion that is becoming of the United States Senate."

  11. PAC Application 2 of 3 (2020)

    CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

    • I stood firmly against the Democrat's $1.7 trillion tax hike reconciliation package, and urged President Bailey to veto the bill, which he ultimately did.
    • I have also opposed the Democrat's effort to repeal right-to-work provisions nationwide. In fact, I introduced a substitute amendment that would set out a national right-to-work policy.
      • While my amendment fell short in the Democratic Senate, it sends a strong message of support for the Chamber.
    • I remain interested in workforce development proposals that would benefit our country going forward into the future. A skilled workforce is imperative for the 21st century economy.
    • The FREEDOM USA Act's provisions should be expanded so that corporate tax relief continues to be extended nationwide and manufacturing continues to flourish.

    RIGHT TO LIFE

    • When Democrats sought to push a radical pro-abortion bill, I stood in strong opposition to their efforts.
      • First, Democratic Leader Lance Reed tried to repeal the Hyde amendment. Not only did I vote against this effort, but I put together an effort to reject the Reed amendment altogether.
      • Then, before Democrats could rush to a cloture vote, I moved to table the bill and secured a second from a Republican colleague.
      • The PPT hesitated in recognizing my motion to table, so I persisted in having my motion acknowledged, at which time the Democrats pulled the bill rather than suffer a lost vote.
    • I have also co-sponsored commonsense pro-life legislation to prevent the extremely inhumane practice of dismemberment abortions.
    • I have been vocally supportive of Judge Barbara Lagoa, who will reshape the balance of the Supreme Court when confirmed.
    • Finally, I have supported anti-suicide legislation, including offering an amendment to ensure that tax dollars go to the most valuable research ends to prevent suicide.

    BAR ASSOCIATION

    • I believe that a full Supreme Court is of great importance, and have supported the qualified nomination of 11th Circuit Court of Appeals Judge Barbara Lagoa.
      • Not only did I introduce her resolution on behalf of the President, I also moved to bring her up for consideration on the floor.
      • The vote ultimately fell short, but I remain committed to filling this vacancy with a qualified jurist and am optimistic about the chances of that after the election season has subsided.
    • Regardless of where you stand on election law changes proposed by Democrats, I have opposed changing the rules in the middle of an election cylce.
      • I spoke out against the last-minute rules changes, and also sought to table the bill - which must be recognized before cloture is voted upon.
    • I have stood up for the institution of the Senate, including our Senate Parliamentarian - via op-ed, proposed rules change, voting, and floor speech.
    • Finally, I have introduced legislation to support our law enforcement against fentanyl, including funding for the Department of Justice.

Thank you! God bless America!
