The son of film and television actors, Taylor Kennedy began working as a child actor at the age of ten. Graduating from Julliard performing arts school in 2007, Taylor's film career took off, with him earning Academy and BAFTA awards for Best Actor in 2013, at his pinnacle. Taylor married fellow actor Sean Cameron in 2014 and the couple adopted a girl from an Ethiopian orphanage. An outspoken activist for gay rights, civil rights, and a prominent Democratic party fundraiser, Taylor Kennedy has long been involved in politics. After the 2015 Charleston Church shooting, months after announcing his campaign for the U.S. Senate, Kennedy auctioned off his Academy Award in a public fundraiser and donated all of the proceeds to the Emmanuel AME Church. Kennedy won the most votes in California's jungle primary in 2016, and in November, won the election to become California's latest U.S. Senator. As of January 2017, Kennedy boasts 35 million followers on Instagram and 11 million followers on Twitter, his only two social media accounts.
