  1. Senator Anne-Marie Morello Introduces National Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act Washington, D.C. - Today, Senator Anne-Marie Morello introduced the National Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act in the U.S. Senate. This important legislation aims to uphold the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding citizens by allowing them to carry concealed weapons across state lines. In a statement, Senator Morello emphasized the importance of protecting the right to self-defense and ensuring that individuals can exercise their Second Amendment rights without fear of arbitrary state laws infringing upon those rights. The National Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act will provide a uniform standard for concealed carry permits, allowing individuals who are legally permitted to carry a concealed weapon in their home state to do so in any other state that allows for concealed carry. "I believe that every law-abiding citizen has the right to protect themselves and their loved ones, regardless of where they travel within the United States," said Senator Morello. "The National Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act will ensure that individuals can exercise their Second Amendment rights with confidence and consistency, no matter where they may be." Senator Morello urged her colleagues in the Senate to support this common-sense legislation, which will uphold the constitutional rights of Americans while promoting public safety and freedom. The National Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act is a crucial step towards ensuring that the rights of law-abiding citizens are protected and respected nationwide.

  3. Senator Anne Marie Morello Introduces Law Enforcement Support and Wellness Act Washington, D.C. - Today, Senator Anne Marie Morello proudly introduced the Law Enforcement Support and Wellness Act, a crucial piece of legislation aimed at expanding support for police officer families, stress reduction, and suicide prevention. As a strong advocate for law enforcement officers and their families, Senator Morello recognizes the sacrifices and challenges they face in the line of duty. "Our law enforcement officers put their lives on the line every day to keep our communities safe. It is our duty to ensure they have the resources and support they need to cope with the stress and trauma that comes with their job," said Senator Morello. "The Law Enforcement Support and Wellness Act will provide critical funding for police officer family services, stress reduction programs, and suicide prevention measures to prioritize the well-being of our dedicated law enforcement professionals." The bill aims to address the unique challenges faced by law enforcement officers and their families, providing access to mental health services, stress reduction programs, and resources for suicide prevention. By supporting the physical and mental well-being of our police officers, we can promote a healthier and more resilient law enforcement community. Senator Morello urges her colleagues in Congress to support this important legislation and prioritize the well-being of our nation's law enforcement officers. 4. Senator Anne Marie Morello Opposes Appointment of Michele Flournoy as Secretary of Defense Washington, D.C. - Republican Senator Anne Marie Morello strongly opposes the potential appointment of Michele Flournoy as Secretary of Defense under the administration of Democrat President Xiomara De La Cruz. Flournoy, as the mastermind behind the disastrous intervention in Libya in 2011, has proven herself to be a reckless and irresponsible decision-maker when it comes to matters of national security. The intervention in Libya led to chaos and instability in the region, ultimately creating a breeding ground for terrorism and further exacerbating the refugee crisis. It is imperative that the Secretary of Defense be someone with sound judgement and a proven track record of success in protecting our nation's interests. Michele Flournoy has demonstrated that she is not fit for this crucial role, and her appointment would only serve to weaken our national security. I urge President Xiomara De La Cruz to reconsider this appointment and instead choose a candidate who will prioritize the safety and security of the American people above all else. Our nation deserves a Secretary of Defense who will make decisions based on careful consideration and strategic planning, not reckless adventures
  5. I am pleased to announce the introduction of the Federal Grant Data Transparency Act, co-created with Senator David Stewart. This bill aims to improve the reporting of information by recipients of federal grants, ensuring accuracy and transparency in the use of taxpayer dollars. By establishing government-wide data standards and requiring federal agencies to adhere to these standards for future grant awards, we are taking a significant step towards enhancing accountability and efficiency in the grant process. The public reporting requirement will provide greater visibility into how federal grant funds are being utilized. I would like to thank Senator Stewart for his collaboration on this important piece of legislation. Together, we are working to ensure that federal grant recipients are held to a high standard of reporting, ultimately benefiting the American people. I urge my colleagues in the Senate to support the Federal Grant Data Transparency Act and help us move towards a more accountable and transparent federal grant system. Thank you. Senator Anne Marie Morello
  6. Senator Anne-Marie Morello Introduces Government Accountability Office Access Act to Strengthen Oversight and Transparency in Federal Government Washington, D.C. - Today, Republican Senator Anne-Marie Morello of Idaho introduced the Government Accountability Office Access Act, a crucial piece of legislation aimed at enhancing transparency and accountability within the federal government. The bill seeks to ensure that the Government Accountability Office (GAO) has adequate access to information from federal agencies in order to effectively carry out its oversight responsibilities. Speaking about the bill, Senator Morello stated, "As a representative of the people, it is our duty to ensure that the federal government operates in a transparent and accountable manner. The Government Accountability Office Access Act will strengthen the GAO's oversight capabilities, ultimately benefiting the American people." The Government Accountability Office Access Act requires federal agencies to provide the GAO with timely access to all information, records, and data necessary for their work. It also establishes reporting requirements for agencies and enforcement mechanisms to ensure compliance with the bill's provisions. Senator Morello emphasized the importance of bipartisan support for the bill, stating, "This is a non-partisan issue that affects all Americans. I urge my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to come together in support of the Government Accountability Office Access Act to strengthen oversight and transparency in our federal government." The bill will now proceed to the Senate floor for consideration. Senator Morello and her team are committed to working diligently to ensure its passage for the benefit of the American people.
  7. As Senator Anne Marie Morello, I am proud to endorse Andy Barr for Speaker of the House over RINO Paul Ryan. It is crucial that we have strong, conservative leadership that truly represents the values of the GOP base. Andy Barr has consistently shown dedication to conservative principles and a commitment to advancing our country in the right direction. Paul Ryan has been out of touch with the GOP base for too long, and it is time for a change in leadership. Andy Barr embodies the qualities and characteristics needed to effectively lead the GOP in the House and unite the party towards common goals. I urge my fellow colleagues to support Andy Barr for Speaker of the House and to stand together in promoting conservative values and pushing back against the liberal agenda. Together, we can move our country forward in a direction that aligns with the beliefs of the American people. Andy Barr is the leader we need to represent us in the House, and I am proud to endorse him for Speaker.
  8. Name: Senator Anne-Marie Morello Media/Outlet: Foxs and friends Reason: House Leadership race "Well, as we've seen in European politics, when a party loses an election, they often reevaluate their leadership and make necessary changes to better align with their base. I believe the GOP needs to do the same. Paul Ryan has been out of touch with the GOP base for quite some time now, and it's time for new leadership that truly represents the values of the party. The next House Speaker should be someone who truly understands and represents the values of the GOP base. They should be a strong leader who is willing to stand up for conservative principles and push back against the liberal agenda. We need someone who can unite the party and work towards common goals to move our country forward and I believe Andy Barr is that person. It's quite hypocritical of the Democrats to criticize the GOP for their leadership challenges while they themselves are facing the same issue. Not only from the left but also the right too.
  9. I am thrilled to see Rino Paul Rino defeated in the race for GOP Speaker. It is time for a true national Conservative to be elected to lead our party. We must beware of those who claim to be on our side but are all talk and no action. They do not want power for the right reasons, but rather to grift and take advantage of the movement. Let us be vigilant and ensure that we elect leaders who truly have the best interests of our party and our country at heart. Let us not be fooled by those who seek to divide us for their own gain.
  10. I am deeply saddened by the news of the passing of former Democrat Senator and retired astronaut John Glenn. Senator Glenn was not only a pioneering astronaut but also a dedicated public servant who served the people of Ohio with distinction for many years. His historic flight aboard Friendship 7 in 1962 made him the first American to orbit the Earth and solidified his place in history as a true American hero. His subsequent career in the U.S. Senate was marked by a commitment to bipartisanship and a tireless dedication to the well-being of his constituents. Senator Glenn's legacy extends far beyond his accomplishments in space and in Congress. He was a role model and inspiration to countless Americans, demonstrating the power of perseverance, courage, and integrity in the face of adversity. While Senator Glenn and I may have belonged to different political parties, I have always admired his dedication to serving the common good and his willingness to work across the aisle to find solutions to our nation's most pressing challenges. In a time of deep political division, his example serves as a reminder of the importance of civility and cooperation in public service. My thoughts and prayers are with Senator Glenn's family and loved ones during this difficult time. His loss will be felt deeply by all who had the privilege of knowing him, and his legacy will continue to inspire future generations of Americans to reach for the stars and strive for a better tomorrow. Rest in peace, Senator Glenn. Your contributions to our nation will never be forgotten.
