Diego Everhart's journey from a humble upbringing to becoming a stalwart advocate for labor rights in Pennsylvania is deeply rooted in his family's history and the values they imparted upon him.

Born into a working-class family in Michigan , Diego's Afro-Latino heritage is a blend of his mother's migrant roots from Mexico and his father's deep involvement in the Laborers' International Union of North America (LIUNA) during the 1950s. Growing up, Diego witnessed firsthand the struggles and triumphs of his parents, whose resilience and determination shaped his worldview.

Diego's mother, a migrant from Mexico, instilled in him a profound appreciation for hard work and perseverance. Her journey to the United States in search of a better life for her family fueled Diego's commitment to social justice and equality. His father's activism within LIUNA during the tumultuous 1950s left an indelible mark on Diego, igniting his passion for labor rights and worker empowerment.

Guided by the principles of his upbringing, Diego pursued higher education at the University of Pennsylvania, graduating with a degree in Political Science in 1993. Eager to effect change, he furthered his studies at Princeton University, earning his JD in 1996.

Diego's career trajectory reflects his unwavering dedication to championing the rights of the marginalized and underserved. He began his professional journey as a State Political Staffer, where he navigated the complexities of policy and governance with a keen eye toward social equity and justice. Diego spent his time as a policy advisor guiding Senator Arlene Specter policy choices, successfully navigating him toward more liberal policy views such as being supportive of same sex marriage, and a woman's right choose.

As a lawyer, Diego Everhart emerged as a prominent figure in Pennsylvania's legal landscape, renowned for his unwavering commitment to fairness and equality. His advocacy for labor rights and worker protections earned him widespread acclaim and established him as a formidable force in the fight for social justice.

In 2012 issued a challenge to sitting Senator Bob Casey, Diego answered the call to public service, assuming the role of Senator for Pennsylvania. His election marked a pivotal moment in the state's political landscape, ushering in an era of progressive change and unwavering advocacy for the working class.

Diego Everhart's story serves as a testament to the transformative power of perseverance and the enduring legacy of those who paved the way for a more just and equitable society. As a devoted husband and father of two, Diego remains steadfast in his mission to uphold the values instilled in him by his family and to ensure that every voice is heard and every worker is treated with dignity and respect.
