Foster votes for Unified Aid; calls the bill "the most important legislation of this year"
Press Release 003| Washington, D.C. - U.S. Senator John H. Foster (D-AZ) spoke to the press in his office in the Russell Senate Office Building after debate started on the Unified Aid Bill for Ukraine and Israel.
"We've seen it all from Republicans today, but we've also seen great interventions, profound wisdom, and congregated support from Senate Democrats in their intent to deliver the right legislation for these urgent matters. Ultimately, the proposal for organized, transparent aid towards Israel and Ukraine is a guarantee in favor of waging their defense efforts by maximizing the impact of our assistance while maintaining prudent stewardship of public resources. A transparent and accountable framework will identify areas for improvement so that every dollar is, not only accounted for but used in the most efficient possible manner.
There is no doubt that this bill is the most important legislation of the year. This bill stands as the fundamental pillar for the safety and sovereignty of the people of Ukraine and Israel - and the Congress of the United States, with the whole apparatus of the U.S. government will be there to deliver."
