    Biography:

After a successful career as a lobbyist and as an advisor to Governor Deval Patrick on a variety of issues, including housing and education, David moved from policy to politics in 2014, when he was the campaign manager for Steve Grossman's campaign for Governor. Although securing the most support at the Democratic Convention, Grossman lost the primary. As a sign of party unity, David was hired as a senior advisor on the Coakley campaign. After the loss to Charlie Baker, David spent time backpacking across Europe. It was in a bar in Brussels that David met his future husband, Tyler. David moved into Tyler's home in Nashua and looked to re-enter the political arena. He was hired as the Executive Director of the New Hampshire Democratic Party, overseeing the party's capturing of both chambers of the General Court in 2018 before leaving to serve as the campaign manager for Pete Buttigieg's New Hampshire primary effort. After the New Hampshire primary, David took a brief sabatical to focus on raising his new son, Brandon, before beginning to lecture at the University of New Hampshire in courses about state and local government and the New Hampshire primary. It was from this position that David was recruited by the State Party to run for the open U.S. Senate seat, which he won.
