Agreed... I want to be progressive but now is the time for pragmatism IMHO.

Fair enough then I guess we'll do it.. I'm just concerned but gotta give the ppl what they want.

I personally invited every Senate Republican an opportunity to sit down and hammer out a bipartisan compromise on E-Verify as long as we could put protections in and provide some stable path to citizenship or at least protect workers who are already here.  I was laughed off the floor of the Senate so if E-Verify fails don't blame the minority.

I honestly think we need to tight rope the police brutality issue.  While I personally agree with it we need to work on phrasing it in a way to not turn off our centrist voters and not make it black lives vs. police lives.  Like additional funding for body cameras is great and creating a registry is great as well as possibly stiffer penalties for cops who are caught abusing their power.. but I think a more rallying issue like Job Growth, Economy or such would be better to attract instead of detract voters.

What happend to Michael Brown was deplorable but whats truly an outrage is the Senate majority refusal to even #SayHisName and many more ignoring the actions in Ferguson completely.
